FUNAAB Reiterates Dress Code Compliance for Students

_… Warns Protesting Students not to Disrupt Academic Activities_   Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has issued a statement reiterating its dress code compliance for students and emphasising the security implications of allowing individuals who cannot be facially identified on campus.  A statement issued by the Registrar, Dr. ‘Bola Adekola, on behalf of the University Management stated that the Dress Code has been in existence since 2017, saying that violators of the code would face sanctions in accordance with the extant rules and regulations of the University.  The statement also referred to a minor incident that occurred on the morning of September 11, 2023, at the University's Ceremonial Gate, where some protesters purportedly operating under the guise of religion, disrupted academic and business activities.   FUNAAB's  Begins 30th Convocation Ceremony  The week-long events of the 30th Convocation Ceremony of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), will begin on August 4, 2023, with a Jumat Service by 1 p.m. at the University Mosque.   According to a release signed by the Registrar, Dr. ‘Bola Adekola, there would be an Interdenominational Church Service on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at the University Chapel by 9:30 a.m. The Release further stated that the Convocation Press Conference would be held on Thursday, August 10, 2023, by 10 a.m., followed by the commissioning of projects at various sites on Campus starting from 11 a.m. On Friday, August 11, 2023, the event would continue with the Convocation Ceremony and Award of First Degrees to deserving Graduands of the University by 10 a.m. at the Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building, while the Convocation Lecture and Award of Higher Degrees would hold on Saturday, August 12, 2023, by 10 a.m at the same ...

YDA finalizes partnership with 720Degresd Hub By Kehinde Adekunjo As part of its numerous efforts to facilitate economic and social  development of Nigeria youths, the Youth for Development Association (YDA) has finalized huge benefits partnership with 720Degrees Innovation Hub. However, the said partnership deed is centred  on different Youth Empowerment Schemes. Notable amongst which is forex training and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) workshop.   FUNAAB Approved Dress Code for Students In a bid to ensure strict compliance with extant regulations and principles guiding the conduct of students within the campus of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), the University Management has reiterated the approved dress code for students coming into the campus. A Release issued on July 17, 2023 and signed by the Registrar of the University, Dr. ‘Bola Adekola reaffirmed the decision of Senate of the University at its meeting of Tuesday, December 14, 2021 on the issue of Dress Code as communicated to the University Community via a circular FUNAAB/REG.11/VOL. Help :14 Year Old Girl with Curved Spine Needs N20 Million Naira for Correctiobal Surgery The mother of a Fourteen year old girl, Afuape Jumoke has cried out to well- meaning Nigerians to come to her aid  in the case of her daughter Soetan Deborah Omobolawa who was diagnosed of a curved  spine known in medical parlance as idiopathic Scoliosis. The abnormal formation of the spine  which is almost touching  her  heart has become life threatening as medical experts said unless an urgent  surgery is carried out, the girl will soon begin to have difficulties in breathing and may be  choked to death.
