NCF, Wilder Institute award  Scholarships for the conservation of Cross River Gorillas By: Kehinde Adekunjo Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) in collaboration with the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo and the Center for Biodiversity Conservation Research (CBCR) in Ghana, has awarded scholarship to three postgraduate students of the University of Calabar. As contained in a statement issued by the public relations unit of the NCF, the award is a form of community conservation initiative to protect the endangered Cross River gorilla which will bring enormous ecotourism benefit to the people of Cross River through preservation and conservation efforts of these species.  More so, the scholarship covers registration and tuition fees, operating and living expenses, accommodation, field research expenses, study materials and equipment. "Life is Better When You Are Happy, But at Its Best When Many Others Are Happy Because Of You" The above assertion seems to be the propelling factor for the David Balogun  Foundation; its founder, Mr. David Adeolu Balogun  and the entire team of the foundation as it  has  continued to uplift many in the society, through its  humanitarian gesture that cuts across distribution of monthly food items, scholarship to students undergoing WAEC and JAMB exams as well as provision of medical assistance to beneficiaries. The latest of the foundation's efforts however, is the case of a lady by name  Chika Salome Ekpendu who needed between N400 000- N500,000 to perform correctional surgery.
