David Balogun Foundation Puts Smiles on the Faces of Less Privileged

"Life is Better When You Are Happy, But at Its Best When Many Others Are Happy Because Of You"


The above assertion seems to be the propelling factor for the David Balogun  Foundation; its founder, Mr. David Adeolu Balogun  and the entire team of the foundation as it  has  continued to uplift many in the society, through its  humanitarian gesture that cuts across distribution of monthly food items, scholarship to students undergoing WAEC and JAMB exams as well as provision of medical assistance to beneficiaries.

The latest of the foundation's efforts however, is the case of a lady by name  Chika Salome Ekpendu who needed between N400 000- N500,000 to perform correctional surgery. The Foundation through its members and goodwill of others has been able to raise no less than a N100,000 naira to support the medical expenses and restore life to her.The cheque of a sum of N100 000 was presented to her on Tuesday, 6th of Decrmber, 2022.

David Balogun  Foundation  is an International Non-Governmental Organization that seeks to end all forms of children hunger. It  provides  food, food security and meaningful livelihood interventions to fight hunger in Africa. The foundation actively partner with religious bodies, corporate organizations, schools, communities and state governments in Africa, North America and Europe to actualize its mission of making life more meaningful for others

The NGO which  was founded in August 2021 is  passionate about making good food accessible to children so that, they do not have to go to bed hungry. The foundation also  complements the government activities by providing food for the vulnerable at no cost. It  assists with Scholarships by paying tuitions for less privilleged Public School students in Africa. 

And, in  fulfillment of one of its  objectives of assisting brilliant less privilege students through school, the David Balogun Foundation made the payment of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination fees of two indigent  students of Rev. Kuti  Memorial Grammar  School, Abeokuta. The fees was handed over to the benefiting students, Oyadeyi Taiwo (SSS3), Olufunso  Samod (SS3 ),in the presence of the school Principal,  Mr. Olaniyi Gabriel Olutayo, the Vice Principal Mrs. Babalola Olufunmilayo Abosede and the School Registrar, Mr. Lawal Ajibola Sabur .

The presentation was made on behalf of the founder  by the Secretary of the Foundation ,Mrs. Ogunsiji Ayodele on behalf of the founder of DAVID BALOGUN FOUNDATION. The founder Mr. Adeolu David Balogun an old student of the school, who was passionate about giving back to his
Alma mata and putting smiles on the faces of indigent brilliant students who are unable to make up with the payment for their terminal exams.

In a similar vein, the Foundation also at a time  presented cheques to no less than eight  indigent students in various secondary schools in Ogun State to cater for their Joint Admission and Matriculation Examination Fees. The beneficiaries include Akanbi Rasaq, Gideon Juliat and Morenigbade Ismael all of St. Peters  College, Olomore Abeokuta. Each of the beneficiaries received  a cheque of N5,000 each.

On a monthly basis, no less than thirty vulnerable people benefited from the free food items and this is always complemented with distribution of live chicken and other items especially during the festive season.The donation usually  took place at the Foundation's operation office, in Abeokuta the Ogun State capital, precisely inside the police Barrack, Opposite Ogun State Government house, Isale igbein.
